In Spring 2026, WM Events reached an important milestone. We realized that with the growth of our team, we had so many incredible people on staff that we could implement a recognition program and never run out of colleagues to honor. Thus, we launched our Employee of the Month program and recognized our inaugural honoree in May.
To give you a chance to get to know these team members who take our sky-high standards to new heights, we sat down with the first three winners and asked them what drives them, what they love about their job, and how it felt to be recognized by their peers.
May Employee of the Month – Leslie Stose, Event Manager
Leslie was celebrated for embodying three of our core values: fun, community, and adaptability. She’s the person who goes above and beyond with a smile on her face and lifts the whole team in the process. That bubbly, all-in attitude is exactly the kind of energy that turns a great event into an unforgettable one.

What is your role on the WME team?
I work in both business development and event management. Because I have a hybrid role, there is no typical day here. I enjoy the variety – it keeps me focused. Diving into business development is a new part of my job, so that is exciting, but I also enjoy being part of events and the on-site production aspects.
What motivates you?
A lot of what keeps me enthusiastic about my work here is William – his energy and passion, as well as the collaborative, team-based office environment he has provided. It’s also a beautiful space, and we put on a high caliber of events. You just have to perform at this exceptional level because that is what we do here.
What are you looking forward to?
December! I love Christmas and the whole Christmas experience working here whether that is being out at the holiday events, fluffing the Christmas trees in the warehouse, or participating in our office holiday events. On the business development side, I’m excited to attract more nonprofit gala business. The recent event we did for Atlanta Ballet was stunning, and I’d love to see more events like that.
How did you feel about being named Employee of the Month?
I found out at the production meeting, and there was a drum roll with everyone tapping on the table. I was so honored; it really choked me up. The recognition came at a time when I had been experiencing some self-doubt, so it was really validating. Plus, there were two huge perks with being selected – I got to attend a World Cup game, which was the experience of a lifetime, and I really enjoyed using the Employee of the Month parking space right by the front door.
Personal Motto:
It’s too easy to be awesome. (It is – you can just always do extra, do more.)
June Employee of the Month – Luqman Brown, Warehouse Supervisor
Meet Luqman Brown, our Warehouse Supervisor and the backbone of every build we bring to life. Luqman was nominated by his peers for his steady leadership, his “just tell me what you need” attitude, and the integrity he brings to every single day on the job. Always prepared, always efficient, and always showing up for every department that needs him — his work is the thread that connects our entire operation. When the production side of an event runs seamlessly, there’s a good chance Luqman’s fingerprints are all over it.

What is your role on the WME team?
As the warehouse supervisor, my job focuses on organization. Every morning starts with a meeting, and then I pass out the tasks to my team. I spend the rest of the day managing inventory and working with the event managers to make sure we have what we need for all of the events. I enjoy working with the team and seeing everything come together. There are a lot of moving parts to this organization. When there is a big event, I also help with the installation.
What motivates you?
I am motivated by knowing that people can count on me. It is my responsibility to make sure the team has what they need, so the events can go smoothly. Doing this and constantly improving our process keeps me motivated. Before becoming the warehouse supervisor, I worked in operations, so it’s been interesting to see these two aspects of the business and have the chance to grow within the company.
What are you looking forward to?
We have a lot of Christmas products coming in, and that is exciting. I’m also looking forward to the tailgate parties with the Atlanta Falcons and just seeing how the company and team will evolve.
How did you feel about being named Employee of the Month?
I was really happy and grateful to be recognized. I put a lot of effort into my work, and it felt good knowing that people noticed. I am grateful that with this team, everyone is on the same page and works hard.
Personal Motto:
Do your best, stay consistent. Work hard, stay humble, and keep moving forward.
July Employee of the Month – Lishanda Winder, Production Assistant
Lishanda earned this recognition by showing up with community, integrity, and adaptability — consistently. She keeps things moving behind the scenes and brings a contagious energy that makes the whole team better. That combination of reliability and good spirit is rare, and we don’t take it for granted.

What is your role on the WME team?
On a typical day, I prep for an install by pulling items from inventory and labeling them. For larger projects, I assist with painting or mocking a structure for event managers to approve it. Then we prepare items for transportation. I am involved with hard inventory counts and cross-train with other departments, seeking to approach tasks efficiently and leave room for adjustment. We are always working to improve our workspace, organization, and processes. Most of the time, I am not part of the install team, but when I do take part with the install, it’s overwhelmingly beautiful how the little pieces from different departments come together. That is a highlight of my job.
What motivates you?
I am learning so much about customer engagement, different from my past career experiences — how to approach certain situations, how to pay attention to detail. These are knowledge and skills I can apply to my professional growth and personal life. I am truly grateful for the ways William shows his appreciation for our work. He recognizes us and consistently acknowledges our talent. I also like the opportunity we have to grow and expand here. I have never worked for a company that is so caring towards its employees. I know it’s a big, small company, and William’s love for his people is obvious. He’s so involved and just an all-around great person to work for.
What are you looking forward to?
In the next six months, I’m looking forward to meeting my one-year anniversary. I hope to attend more installs and assist with other departments to learn more about the industry and to help improve what we do. I would also like to take some professional development classes and attend trainings, so I will be a more valuable asset to the company.
How did you feel about being named Employee of the Month?
I was very surprised. After the drum roll, my picture popped up on the screen. But it was only after parking in the Employee of the Month parking space that I had really won. This honor made me feel very valued. I’m not an outspoken person, so being noticed by my peers and others was definitely an honor.
