There are a plethora of Christmas tree trends that sweep the nation every year. There is the traditional tinsel and popcorn garland. Then there are the gingerbread ornaments that add the final Christmas smells to your house for the season. And how can we forget the upside down Christmas trees?
This year, some of the up and coming trends have been deconstructed Christmas trees and floral Christmas trees.
The deconstructed Christmas tree is everything but the tree itself. This was actually an art installation called Christmas Three by Method. The idea behind this install at the TEA Building in London, was to have guests stop and reflect on their year, what is to come next year, and what a Christmas tree actually means. According to their instagram, “Evergreen trees are a Pagan symbol of life brought inside the home to celebrate the winter solstice.” The three pieces of the install were as simple as Christmas tree chippings, lights and ornaments.
Floral Christmas trees are definitely a trend that is here to stay. With a variety of ways to create this look, the possibilities of a fresh, new look are endless. Use large paper flowers or dainty fresh flowers. String flowers together to create a flower garland or scatter them throughout the tree.
