Just a few days into September and I am already thinking about fall colors and event design schemes for my Autumn line up. These little spores caught my eye while I was gardening the other day.
Whether you call them mushrooms, toad stools or fungi, hopefully you can appreciate the sublime beauty of these little spores.
I captured these two lovely specimens in my shade garden. Their rich coloration and subtle texture is truly inspiring when I begin to think of fall table designs. Imagine a rich mushroom silk table linen graced with ivory toned floral and cream mini-linen napkins! Or what if there was an amorphous chandelier with “gills” of silk?
If the mushroom and cream color scheme is good enough for mother nature, then it is good enough for me.
