Our garden this year is producing nicely, continuing the amazing results from last year. My mother has harvested easily 25 – 30 lbs so far, including yellow squash, eggplant, cucumbers, watermelons, and more. It has been a very busy and productive growing season so far. Eating freshly grown vegetables from our garden is such a luxury. It really inspires me to be a bit greener in other aspects of my life, too. With a combination of composting, recycling and gardening, my family is offsetting a considerable about of carbon, saving money, and eating really healthy.
