Denver, CO (November 15, 2010) – Local event designer William Fogler is thrilled to have earned a nomination for an international Gala Award by the members of the Special Events Magazine Advisory Board. Winners of the industry magazine’s most prestigious awards will be announced at a January event in Phoenix, and all nominees will appear in the magazine’s January – February 2011 issue. Fogler’s competition for the award includes design firms from California and Taiwan.
Fogler’s company WM Events was nominated in tandem with Newberry Brothers Greenhouse & Florist for the table they designed for an outdoor eco-friendly wedding held in the mountains of Colorado this summer. Working with the green theme of “reuse,” Fogler first laid the table with vintage lace tablecloths and then chose pieces from the bride’s grandmother’s antique china and serving platters for a family style organic dinner. Instead of the common escort card, the WM Events team created custom-made recycled chipboard frames containing individual photos of the guests from the rehearsal dinner. These environmentally friendly, yet beautiful touches were completed with Newberry Brothers Greenhouse & Florist’s bright pink hydrangeas, roses and lilies with lush summer green foliage.
