What better way to celebrate MedShare’s goal of serving people, the planet and all with a simple purpose of healing the world than to have a surprise Michael Jackson impersonator? That’s right, Michael Jackson made a special appearance at this non-profit event hosted at The Foundry at Puritan Mill!
The night began with African drummers welcoming guests to the night’s big event! Attendees mingled around dimensional graphics displaying important statistics while bidding on silent auction pieces. Being that MedShare serves the world with medical supplies, there was remarkable art created using medical needles and tools to show a unique approach to how medical supplies can impact the world. A DJ and saxaphone duo filled the air for pre-function.
The event took place underneath a twinkle lit ceiling installation of twine balls and market lights. The night kicked off with a Nigerian choir, Temples of Worship, followed by an upbeat performance by the African drummers and dancers. The drummers created a completely custom entrance for the Michael Jackson impersonator to surprise the guests. After his surprise performance of They Don’t Care About Us and Heal the World, the program rolled into awards and live auction. Just when attendees thought the surprises were over, Michael Jackson closed out the program and was followed by Party on the Moon. Guests danced all night long to the noise of raising over $160,000!
