Inspiration: Food and Fashion in event design

 

My upcoming showroom design at Affairs to Remember is based on the relationship between food and fashion.  These are some of fun images I dug up while doing my home work for the showroom design. 

Food concepts depict styles and trends in fashion –sleeker styles on the runway co-relate popularity of Healthier lighter foods.  Organic  and nattural food trends run parallel with eco and vintage fashion trends as well.

Runway silhouettes are often  echoed by Chefs sculptural creations which defy gravity and edible reality.  Lady Gaga’s red carpet dress and spun sugar  dessert creations are an example of this.  Sleek, modern defined presentation reflect sleek modern silhouettes

    Toatl inspirational stuff…. fashion n food.. both seems to be either side of a coin.. food gives color and style to the fashion line and fashion gives the styling to the food line… please refer me to stuff where i cud understand more about how designers are inspired through the food. would appreciate a few thoughts from designers too..
